The main objective of the site is to promote positive activities in the area by providing information on local services for young people.

Positive activties include a wide range of sporting,cultural and recreational activities and opportunities for volunteering. The key is that activities are structured,good quality and support development towards the ECM outcomes. Activities can take place in a wide variety of setting including youth clubs,sports clubs, outdoor recreation centres,museums and libraries. The 2006 Education and Inspections Act sets out a local authoritys duties in respect of securing access to activities.

Community and Voluntary Sector

Private Sector

and information on any other organisations that fall outside of these parameters.

A key aspect of the site is that it will be developed and routinely reviewed with young people. This will enable us to ensure that we are continually meeting the needs of our young people and addressing the issues that are relevant to them.

In addition to the website, a paper based listing guide with be produced annually. The design for this brochure will be based on the website and agencies are invited to pitch for the design and production of the brochure along with the website.
